Vigna del Monaco Morto
our Falanghina cru, has its name historically rooted to the events of the 19th Century where it is documented as having a band of thieves and bandits who roamed this particular area. History tells of the findings of a monk’s corps under a bridge – most likely killed by this band of thieves. Since then, the entire zone has been named, “del Monaco morto” and more specifically for us. ...For superstitious purposes we have taken the word “morto” (dead) out of the name and off the bottle…

Distinctly straw-yellow in colour Ample, rich and refined floral perfumes with elegant notes of mature fruit (apricot) and spice tones Fresh and sapid on the palate, opening up with a nice balance and good structure. A wise use of wood where both malolactic and alcohol fermentation occur developing its complexity. |
